Ernst Oscar Beller, 88, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2001, formerly of Huntington Beach, CA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at his home. He was born June 8, 1935, in Munich, Germany to Gottfried and Anna Beller.
Ernst was of the Catholic faith. He worked as a pastry chef and received his master’s degree in baking in Stuttgart, Germany. Ernst was very proud when he became an American Citizen. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, walking his dogs, and working around the house and garden. Ernst was an avid soccer fan with his favorite team being Bayern Munich although he would be disappointed if they didn’t win by 6 goals. He was a competitive runner participating in 5K races. He was a hard worker who thought he was invincible but would sometimes get into trouble when he was doing something he really shouldn’t be doing, such as trying to chop down a tree with a small ax. His happy place was swimming in the pool or watching the sunset from his lanai. He had a great sense of humor and everyone who knew him immediately experienced his kindness and gentle manner. He was such a fun-loving father and grandfather that joyfully took part in any activity. He was up for any adventure although he did grumble a bit when he played miniature golf with his grandchildren during a record high temperature. He loved the beach, and he loved the mountains – he just plain loved everything and everyone. Ernst loved unconditionally and enjoyed life until the moment he was taken home. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and it is with much sorrow, love and broken hearts that we let him go on to his next adventure. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. It is the price of love. When someone dies you don’t get over your grief by forgetting. You get through your grief through remembering. We are blessed to have so many happy memories.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend since 1985, Lesta Beller; children, Alex Beller (Lisa) of Marana, AZ, Susanne Farhat (Tim) of Lake Suzy, FL, Tanja Newby (Art) of Battle Ground, WA, and Doreen App (Kevin) of Newberg, OR; siblings, Christl Schmitt of Stuttgart, Germany and Fred Beller (Annegret) of Munich, Germany; grandchildren, Brittany Stamer, Kristen Crosby (Kyle) and Danielle Sormann (Tyler); great grandchildren, Kash Crosby and Kimora Crosby; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gottfried and Anna Beller and sisters, Irma Nowak, Elfriede Soenksen, and Rosmarie Stadler.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details to be announced via www.MullinsMemorial.com.
Memorial Contributions in memory of Ernst Beller are suggested to American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or another charity of your choice.

John 14:1-3 Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.
What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us. -Helen Keller
