Eugene L. Meyers, 68, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past three months, formerly of Haines City, FL for the past 2 years and Elizabeth, NJ prior to that, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 in Cape Coral. He was born September 7, 1948 in Elizabeth, NJ to Frederick and Yolanda Meyers, Sr., now deceased. Eugene/Gene/Gino loved fishing off the Seaside Pier in Seaside NJ. Gene drove tractor trailers for many years and later had several businesses. Including a gas station and a successful limousine business. He is survived by his beloved wife, Florence Meyers of Cape Coral; three loving children, Anthony Calavano, Anita Meyers, and Maria Meyers, all of Cape Coral; two brothers, Phil Meyers (Rise) of Waretown, NJ and Rocko Meyers Sr. (Daily Danielson) of Ft. Myers, FL; granddaughter, Victoria Meyers; as well as eight nieces and nephews, Rocko Jr., Frederick, Stella, Melanie, Louis, Eric, Yolanda and Nicholas. No formal services are planned at this time.
