Everett Duane Stinehart

Everett Duane Stinehart, 84, a resident of Peshtigo, WI since 1996, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born April 5, 1932 in Milford, IA to Roland and Gladys Stinehart, now deceased. Everett (Ed) was a member of St. Mary's Parish Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, wonderful father, and friend to all. He was also an avid football fan, cheering on the Packers each week. Ed loved to read, walk with the dogs and spend time with family and friends. He served in the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart. He worked for the U.S. Post Office for 30 years, retiring in 1987. Ed will be remembered for the twinkle in his eye and his kindness toward animals and everyone he knew. He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Peggy Stinehart of Peshtigo, WI; two children, Michael Bunte (Carol) of Madison, WI and Pam Massa (Mike) of Rapid City, SD; four loving siblings, Bill Stinehart of FL, Pat Schafner (Walter) of CA, Vern Stinehart (Bev) of IA and Gloria Reidman, also of IA; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ed will be missed and remembered by many friends and family, as well as the family furry friend, Carmel. Ed was preceded in death by brothers, Larry, Art and James Stinehart, sister, Iza Fabro, as well as his furry friend, Sparkie. Visitation will be held from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at St. Mary's Parish Catholic Church, 171 South Wood Ave., Peshtigo, WI 54157.
