Felipe Zayas

Felipe Zayas, 87, A Cape Coral, FL resident for the past 18 years, formerly of Miami, FL passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 in Cape Coral. He was born May 26, 1928 in Nuevitas, Cuba to Felipe and Cruz Zayas, now deceased. Felipe was of the Catholic faith. He was an incredible father who worked hard throughout his life to ensure his family was well taken care of while filling their hearts with love and joy every chance he got. Felipe was an amazing and genuine grandfather who could always be counted on during the toughest and happiest of times. He will forever be remembered and will be missed considerably. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Nora Zayas of Cape Coral; three loving children, Jose Felipe Zayas, Janett Martell and Jackie Blanco, of Cape Coral; sisters, Francisca Noriega of Miami, Clara Sablon of Del Ray Beach, FL and Elsa Garcia of Miami; nine grandchildren including, John, Jennifer, Joseph, Janie-Angela and Edward; two great grandchildren, Justin and Jaelynn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, February 4, 2016 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, FL 33904.
