Francis Henry Boudreault

June 19, 1942 — June 20, 2025

It is with profound sadness that the family of Francis “Frank” Boudreault announces his passing on June 20, 2025. Funeral Mass to pray for Francis will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 13031 Palm Beach Boulevard in Fort Myers, FL on Saturday, July 19th at 10:30am.

Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts in 1942, the third of four sons born to Cecile and Arthur Boudreault, Francis lived a life of strength, generosity, love, faith, and good humor.

Frank was married for 53 years to his beloved wife, Elaine until Elaine’s passing in July 2022. A devoted partner, Frank treasured the daily joys of family life—watching their children and grandchildren perform, play sports, and chase dreams.  He enjoyed summer evenings with family, boating, water skiing, grilling and playing lawn darts.  Francis valued community, hard work, friends, and faith throughout his life, values he cultivated while serving in the Marine Corps at a young age. He also enjoyed a good espionage novel and a game of cards or cribbage. He was known among friends and family for his humorously exaggerated stories, thoughtful advice, and booming presence. He was a strong advocate for education, always insisting his children work hard in school so that they could be whatever they wanted to be.  Frank adorned his home with pictures of family and personalized gifts and portraits, a testament to love for his family.  He made every gathering feel like home.

After literally building his family’s home in Massachusetts, Frank earned a reputation as a do-it-yourselfer in all facets of life, home, and autos.  Frank’s tool and equipment collections and inventory were legendary.  He later put all his expertise to good work as a real estate investor, car dealer, and electronics entrepreneur.  He served many years on the Berkley Board of Education and as a town Selectman while also owning a retail store in town.

The Boudreault’s moved to Fort Myers in the 1990s, where they lived for three decades.  There they shared their love of gardening, birding, and the natural beauty of the Caloosahatchee River.  In Fort Myers, Frank was deeply involved in his community, church, and the Knights of Columbus. He worked for many years for Home Depot and in retirement was still involved in real estate, one of his many passions.

Francis is survived by his three children—Jody (Leo), Dana (Katrina), and Jim (Jodi)—six grandchildren (Allen, Cole, Avery, Elisa, Julia, Corey), three brothers (Arthur, Richard, Eugene), his sister-in-law (Janice), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also leaves behind countless friendships forged over decades, and memories of his generosity and good humor that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Francis H. Boudreault—a loving husband, a proud father, a doting grandfather, and a kind, generous friend—will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the hearts he touched.  May he rest in peace with the Good Lord and be surrounded forever by those he loved and the many who loved him.
