Francis Joseph Comerota, III

Francis Joseph Comerota, III, 82, a Cape Coral, Florida resident since 1972, formerly of Caldwell, NJ, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025, in Cape Coral.  He was born September 5, 1942, in Newark, NJ to Francis Comerota, Jr., and Genevieve Comerota, now deceased. 

Francis served in the National Guard and was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Cape Coral.  He was a graduate of Westside High School in Newark, New Jersey and a self-taught computer programmer and truss designer since his move to Florida.  He has been a resident of Cape Coral since 1972.  He was an avid sportsman and played Cape Coral senior softball for many years.  He was an animal lover and horse enthusiast. But mostly he was a family man.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Desiree’ Comerota of Cape Coral; three children all of Cape Coral, Michael Comerota and wife Charissa, Christopher Comerota and wife Cathy and Vincent Comerota and wife Erica; six grandchildren, Samantha and husband Bryan, Jessica and fiancé’ Nathan, Vivian, Dillon, Giovoni and Easton; as well as four great grandchildren, Raven, Bryan, Jr., Joseph and Noah.
