Frank M. Oskvarek, age 64, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024. He was born on March 7, 1960 to the late Frank Sr. and Augusta (Svercek) Oskvarek in Midland, Michigan where he was raised. Frank graduated from H. H. Dow High School. He spent many years as a driver for UPS and then a truck mechanic at Coca-Cola. Frank loved working with his hands and spent many hours working on vehicles. One of his many accomplishments was restoring his parents' Chevy station wagon. Frank was interested in astronomy and found pleasure in stargazing. He was a member at St. John the XXIII Catholic Church in Fort Myers, FL where he enjoyed singing in the choir and being an usher.
Frank married the love of his life, Pamela Kinard, June 19, 1983. Frank had a deep and everlasting love for his family. There was nothing that he enjoyed more than spending time with them. His children will forever remember him as a source of strength, a provider of comfort and a model of integrity. Frank was known for his generosity and loyalty. He was a quiet, unassuming man but family found great joy in coaxing out his smile and laughter.
In addition to his wife, Pamela, Frank is survived by his children, Frank (Heather) Oskvarek, Shelby (Tom) Starnes, and Douglas Oskvarek, and his very cherished granddaughter, Emerincia Oskvarek. He is also survived by his siblings, Patricia (George) Kosick, James (Barbara) Oskvarek, Edward (Indira) Oskvarek, Phyllis Oskvarek, Kathryn (James) Hitchcock, and Douglas (Trina) Oskvarek. He’s also survived by his brother-in-law, Rendall Kinard. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Frank was predeceased by his parents Frank and Augusta Oskvarek and father and mother-in-law, Peggy and James Kinard, brother-in-law, Kendall Kinard and sister-in-law Nancy Hemmer Oskvarek.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Mullins Memorial Funeral Home, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, FL at 11:00 am. A sharing of memories and light hors d’oeurves will be served immediately following.
A memorial service will be held during the summer in Midland, MI with interment to follow in Old Calvary Cemetery.
