Frederick Earl Chippendale

July 29, 1920 - February 18, 2016

Frederick Earl Chippendale (95) passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 while under hospice care in Ft. Myers, Florida. Frederick was born July 29, 1920 to Joseph and Doris (Chippendale) Wernicke in Rochester, New York.

He graduated from Purcell High School in Cincinnati, OH. He received degrees from Centenary College, Boston University, and Johns Hopkins University. Frederick served honorably in the United States Navy during WWII in the European Theatre aboard the USS AROOSTOOK (AOG-14) and USS DELTA (AR40) as a Chief Petty Officer. He met his beautiful bride, Barbara Frances Burpee, during the war and they married September 6, 1942 in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Frederick had a long and successful career in the real estate industry before retiring as a Vice-President of the Equitable Trust Company in Baltimore, Maryland. He served as past President of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors and President of Maryland Chapter No. 26 of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. He was on the board of MAI (Member Appraisal institute). Upon retirement, Frederick and Barbara relocated to southwest Florida.

Frederick is survived by his wife, Barbara (Burpee) Chippendale; sons, Dana (Nancy) Chippendale, Craig (Margaret) Chippendale, Brent (Janice) Chippendale, Scott (Kathy) Chippendale; daughter, Maura (Marcelo Pignatta) Chippendale; brother, Len (Linda) Wernicke; sister, Carol Sims; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Frederick is preceded in death by his parents.

Final arrangements have not been finalized.
