Gary Walter Decker

Gary Walter Decker, 72, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 31 years, formerly of Neptune City, NJ, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023 in Cape Coral. He was born December 14, 1950 in Jersey City, NJ to Walter and Doris Decker, now deceased.

Gary went to Dickinson High School in Jersey City, NJ. From there he joined the army for three years, spent thirteen months in Vietnam, then worked for New Jersey transit for 20 years. He then moved to Florida in 1992. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at the VFW.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Gerri Decker of Cape Coral; children, Melanie Ruh (Brian) of Cape Coral, Samantha Reese (Mike) of Fort Myers, FL, Thomas Van Glahn (Kayla) of Evansville, IN, and Vickie Annazone (Vinny) of Cape Coral; sister, Gail Decker of PA; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren; as well as his dog Zoey.
