Gary John Zepke

Gary John Zepke, 75, a resident of Cape Coral, formerly of Sterling Heights, MI, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025 in Cape Coral.  He was born May 30, 1949 in Detroit, MI to William and Regina Zepke, now deceased. 

Gary attended St. Therese Catholic Church in North Fort Myers.  He graduated from Hazel Park High School in 1967.  Earned his associates degree at Highland Park Junior College before getting drafted by the Army to serve our country.  He took pride in being a pipefitter for Detroit Local 636 to retirement after 36 years, then moving to his retirement home in Florida. Gary enjoyed coaching and watching his kids and grandkids play sports.  Gary’s favorite use of time in retirement was his pickleball, earning many friends, awards and medals.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Zepke of Cape Coral; three children, Kimberly Zepke of Cape Coral, Gary J. Zepke, II of Macomb, MI and Brian Zepke and his wife, Aliehs of Berkley, MI; three grandchildren, Alyssa Zepke and fiance' Aaron Miller , Ethan Zepke and Carter Zepke as well as one great grandchild, Ivy Rae Miller.

Gary was not only predeceased by his parents but by his brother, Gerald Zepke. 

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 20115 N Tamiami Trl, North Fort Myers, FL 33903.
