George Eugene Wamser

George Eugene Wamser, 81, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past three years, formerly of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, in Fort Myers, FL. He was born April 25, 1942, in Ardmore, OK to Eugene and Helen Milsap, now deceased.

George was of the Christian faith and was a Veteran of the United States Marines. He was discharged from the Marine Corps on January 17^th, 1966. Later that year, on June 18^th, he married the love of his life, and they spent 54 years together.

He is survived by his children, Jeanie Andrews (Todd) of Cape Coral, FL, James Wamser of Amarillo, TX, and Jodi Lea Kirkhart of Burns Flat, OK; sister, Gayle Martin (Gary) of Gypsum, KS; grandchildren, Andrew, Kenda, Teddy Joe, Xaina, and Renegade; as well as eleven great-grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Katherine Wamser (Katie) in 2020.

Services to be held at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK on April 5, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.
