Gerald (Jerry) Andrew Plett, 64, (also known as J.P. Angelo) passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 in Cape Coral. He was born February 24, 1958
and was raised in the Chicago suburbs. He has been a resident of Florida for the past 40 years.
JP was of the Christian faith. He was a very talented artist and was well known for his work as a painter of murals, faux finishing and sign painting. His artistic history also includes a few years of billboard painting, lettering on vehicles, and murals on motorcycles and vans.
He is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, Olesya Plett of Cape Coral; mother, Suzanne Clark of Creal Springs, IL; brother, David Leschmann of Carterville, IL; aunt, Jean Ceh; uncle, Tom Tooley, as well as a very large extended family. He was a friend of Bill W.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 6:30 pm at: Grace Church, 14036 Matanzas Dr., Ft. Myers, FL 33905.
