Gerald Lee Sprafka

November 7, 1953 — January 2, 2025

Gerald Lee Sprafka went to rest on January 2, 2025. He was born on November 7, 1953, to Walter and Ann Sprafka (Sari), he was 71 years old.

Jerry, as he liked, grew up in the Kent/Ravenna area of Ohio. His mother of 97 years old says that he was always a good boy. He played tuba in the marching band for Ravenna High School. He vacationed with his parents and several trips to Pine Island. He loved the island and the outer islands.

He went to Kent State University. He managed and maintained Summit Mobile Home Park in Ravenna, Ohio.

He met his wife Kathleen in the early 70’s and then had two beautiful children, Renee and Jarett. Later moved the family to Bonita Springs, Florida. They bought a home and worked as a supervisor for a floor polishing business serving Lee County. Later started his own car polishing business. Then, as a husband-and-wife team, owned and created a unique home-schooling business, Curriculum Services. Maintaining and managing until he retired.

He was a people person, no one was a stranger to him. Enjoyed family quality time. He loved constructing and flying his radio control model planes with his son and most of all riding his motorcycle. His favorite TV show was Star Trek. He loved animals and was a kind, gentle, loving person and will be missed from all that knew him.

He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen Sprafka of Bonita Springs, FL.; his daughter, Renee Cubbage (Charles) of North Fort Myers, FL., his son, Jarett Sprafka of Lehigh Acres, FL.; his grandson, Benjamin Cubbage of North Fort Myers, FL.; his mother, Ann Sari of Bokeelia, FL.; his sister, Judi Cason (Lloyd) of Bokeelia, FL.; his niece, Misha Redecker (Jamie) of Cape Coral, FL., his nephews, Tyler and Dyan Redecker of Cape Coral, FL.; as well as his relatives, the Sari family and Hedges family. He loved us all. Rest in peace little brother.
