Gilmer H. Reisiger

Gilmer Herman Reisiger, 96, a Fort Myers, Florida native passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 in Lehigh Acres, FL. He was born December 27, 1919 in Fort Myers, FL to Albert and Jennie Reisiger. Gilmer served in the United States Navy as a Fireman First Class, and received the Victory Medal during WWII. He retired from United Telephone Company in North Fort Myers, where he made many lifelong friends. He enjoyed making cast nets, solving challenging crossword puzzles, and visiting with friends and family. He is survived by his two loving children, Gilmer Reisiger of Fort Myers, FL, and Lori VanHelden of Wesley Chapel, FL, as well as two grandchildren, Lauren VanHelden and Kevin VanHelden. Gilmer is preceded in death by his beloved wife Lillian Reisiger. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, March 18, 2016 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33916 with interment to follow at Ft. Myers Cemetery, 3200 Michigan Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33916. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2016 also at Mullins Memorial. Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Fort Myers, is entrusted with final care.
