Glenn William Danis

September 20, 1948 — January 9, 2024

Glenn William Danis, 75, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1987, formerly of Altamonte Springs, FL, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024 in Fort Myers, FL.  He was born September 20, 1948, in Paterson, NJ, to Peter and Elvira Danis, now deceased.

Glenn was a Jehovah’s Witness, and he attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Cape Coral.  He served as an Elder in the congregation for many years, and was exemplary taking the lead in the public ministry.

In school, Glenn was an exceptional student and excelled in mathematics.  He received his Associates Degree at Broward Community College.  He was offered full scholarships at more than one Florida University, however, he turned them down in order to pursue spiritual things, and also, a beautiful girl named Jackie who had caught his eye.

The two wed on April 4, 1970, and enjoyed a beautiful 53 years together.

Glenn was known as a hard worker, and a loving provider for his wife and daughters.

He will be most remembered for his love of Jehovah, the ministry, and being a Miami Dolphins Superfan (whether they won or lost).  Also, his big smile, contagious laugh, quick wit, love of sudoku and all things math, his sense of humor, his obsession with punctuality, and his love of bowling.  Most of all, his family will remember his kind, sensitive heart, corny dad jokes, his availability for his kids and grandkids, and his lifetime of love for his wife, Jackie.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Danis of Cape Coral; children, Kerry Mannella (Michael), Lisa VanderMeulen (Jeromy), and Jill Comer (Seth) all of Cape Coral; siblings, Gary Danis (Gail) of Cape Coral; Laurie Webster (Bill) of Deltona, FL, as well as his grandchildren, Megan, Caleb, Carleigh, Cassidy, Gavin, Brandon, Jacob and Jaxon, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 27, 2024 at 2pm, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. 424 Nicholas Parkway, Cape Coral, FL 33991
