Godfrey Eugene Forde, Jr.

Godfrey Eugene Forde, Jr., 72, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 23 years, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022. He was born November 8, 1949 in San Juan, Trinidad to Godfrey and Carmen Forde, Sr., (deceased.)

Godfrey was of the Catholic faith and was a Veteran of the United States Marines. He was a very hardworking man who was devoted to taking care of his family. Godfrey had many accomplishments and was the life of the party. He was a loving person who just wanted to help as many people as he could. He will be truly missed and we will continue to honor his legacy. We love you.

He is survived by three loving children, Cavelle Grant of Long Island, NY, Damian Forde Jr of Charlotte, NC, and Tasha Forde of Cape Coral; six siblings, Isabel Lawrence of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Christopher Forde (Tina) of Cape Coral, Wayne Forde (Eunice) of Tampa, FL, Glen Forde (Sharon) of Brooklyn, NY, Bryant Forde (Norma), of Brooklyn and Patricia Benn (deceased); six grandchildren, Essence Staten, Aamir Wesley, Damian Forde, Jr., Dyamond Forde, Jovoni Davis and Jaden Davis; as well as four great grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Memorial Contributions in memory of Godfrey Eugene Forde, Jr. are suggested to Essence Staten (granddaughter), Tasha Forde (daughter) and Damian Forde Jr (son).
