Gregory Glen Gies

Gregory Glen Gies, 75, a Cape Coral, Florida resident for the past 12 years, formerly of Crete, Illinois, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 in Ft. Myers, Florida. He was born April 22, 1940 in Hammond, Indiana to Elmer and Irene Gies, now deceased. Gregory, a U.S. Navy veteran, served from 1960-1964. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, paw-rent and grandpaw-rent. He is survived by three loving children, Matthew Gies of Crete, IL, Mark Gies of Grant Park, IL, and Megan Gies of Cape Coral, FL; former wife, Peggy Gies; two grandchildren, Hunter and Gavin; as well as McGyver the dog. Gregory was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Gies. No formal services are planned at this time. Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.
