Gregory Evan Philactos

Gregory Evan Philactos, 36, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2010, formerly of Fair Lawn, NJ, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022 in North Fort Myers. He was born May 2, 1985 in Granada Hills, CA.

Gregory was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Upon moving to Florida he attended Grace Church Cape Coral. He was a very spiritual person with a profound belief in Jesus. His Bible was well worn and he always had one with him. He graduated from Fair Lawn H.S. and attended trade school. He had a brilliant mind and a huge heart. He was a terrific salesperson and he could talk to anyone.  He had a great sense of humor and when Gregory laughed he really laughed.

He will always be remembered for ending a conversation with “I Love You”.

He is survived by his loving father, Gregory Philactos and stepmother Lorrie of Cape Coral; sisters, Andrea Philactos of Bloomfield, NJ, Felice Mortarulo of Cape Coral, and Mary Mortarulo, also of Cape Coral; several aunts and uncles including, Charlotte Miles, Ann Quinn, Kevin Miles Joseph and Katherine Philactos; as well as many cousins including: Bill and Joe Quinn, Charlene Keppner, Rob and Jimmy Troutman, Robin, James and Eugene Philactos.

Gregory was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Philactos, and the love of his life Renee` Paul.

Funeral Services will be held 5:00 PM Monday, April 4, 2022 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916 with Pastor Arlene Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 3:00 PM until the time of service.
