Guadalupe R. De Lopez

Guadalupe Rojas De Lopez, 74, a resident of Cape Coral, FL, since 2015, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in Cape Coral. She was born February 7, 1944 in Mexico City, Mexico to Lucio Rojas and Guadalupe Aguiar, now deceased.

Guadalupe was of the Catholic faith, having attended St. Andrews Catholic Church when her health permitted. She was a hard worker, who did what she needed to do to take care of her kids. She was a cherished and loving mother, grandmother, sister. She loved everyone and the love was reciprocated. She was the life of the party because of her beautiful soul. She loved to be surrounded by family and friends and always put everyone else’s needs above hers. She endured and overcame great griefs in life and fought many battles. Her family gave her the will to fight as long as she did.

She is survived by her three children, Jose “Manny” Lopez (Soledad) of Chicago, IL, Sonia Echevarria (Edgardo) of Cape Coral, FL, and Yolanda Lopez of Chicago, IL; one brother, Lucio Rojas; fourteen grandchildren; as well as six great grandchildren.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by her son, Hector Lopez.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Mullins Memorial, 1056 NE 7th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33909 with Deacon Edison officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until time of service. A graveside service will follow immediately at Coral Ridge Cemetery, 1630 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
