Henry Paul Boguslawski, Jr., 74, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1993, formerly of Thomaston, CT, passed away at home on May 30, 2022. He was born November 23, 1947 in Waterbury, CT to Henry and Mary Boguslawski, Sr., now deceased.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 51 years, Cheryl Boguslawski of Cape Coral, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Bruce Palmer of Sandwich, MA; grandchildren, Chase and Avery Palmer of Sandwich, MA; mother-in-law, Shirley Innes of Thomaston, CT; aunt, Dorothy Nold of Winter Springs, FL; siblings, Judy Currier of Torrington, CT, Patricia Lockwood of Thomaston, CT, and Very Reverend Steven C. Boguslawski, Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia, Archdiocese of Hartford, CT; as well as four nieces and four nephews.
Henry cherished his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He was a proud American and Vietnam Era Veteran, serving in the Army as a tank driver in Germany. He was a member of the American Legion Clifford R. French Post 22 in Thomaston, CT. An expert hunter and fisherman, he never missed a chance to walk in the woods or get out on the water. His other passion was sports. For many years, he volunteered as a coach and umpire for recreational teams of various ages. As a dedicated spectator, he enjoyed traveling up and down the East Coast, from Cooperstown, NY to Fort Myers, FL to watch hundreds of games. He had the ability to add levity to a situation with a quip from his Dad or a comical remark…he could make you laugh until you cried.
In his professional life, he completed an apprenticeship at the Iseli Swiss Screw Machine Company in Terryville, CT and worked as a machinist and supervisor for 24 years. After moving to Florida, he continued as a machinist and in 2003 became owner of Forcon Precision Products in Cape Coral until retiring in 2010.
