Jack E. Dalton

Jack Earle Dalton, 88, passed away on January 8, 2017 in Cape Coral, Florida. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 7, 1928 to Charles and Mildred Dalton, now deceased. He was a football player in high school before serving time in the US Navy. Jack served in World War II and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and Honorable Service Lapel Button. After his service in the Navy he graduated from Southern Technical University in Atlanta, Georgia. Jack was a Real Estate Broker and Land Developer in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area for over 40 years. Upon relocating to SW Florida some 30+ years ago, he established a successful career in Property Management Services. He was a member of the congregation of Grace Church in Cape Coral , Florida for over 20 years where he proudly served the Lord. Many may say he was the "Founding Father" of the parking lot ministry. He enjoyed welcoming everyone to Sunday mornings service with the assurance that their "socks would be blessed off." He was a member of Gulf Coast Walk to Emmaus Community. He participated in many weekends and at one time served as the Community Lay Director. He is survived by his beloved wife, Gwendolyn Grizzard Dalton of Cape Coral; his 3 children, Cheryl Traylor (Alan) of Loganville, GA, Ken Dalton (Debi) of Monroe, GA, and Cynthia Brimm (Nicole) of Cape Coral, FL; sisters, Jean Clower (John) of Douglasville, GA and Susan Watson (Jim) of Cape Coral, FL; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Grace United Methodist Church, 13 SE 21^st Place, Cape Coral, FL 33990 with Jorge Acevedo officiating.
