James Andrew Collins

James Andrew Collins, 57, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL for the past 40 years, formerly of VA, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023. He was born May 18, 1965 in Charlottesville, VA to John Collins and Marian Raulin, now deceased.

James was a very hard working construction worker before he was disabled in a deadly car accident in 2015. James was very smart and loved to correct his family's grammar and was the go-to person for math problems. He loved his family dearly and would do absolutely anything for his daughter Jessica and her 2 children. He was a funny, outgoing guy that wouldn't even try to make people laugh but just had that natural goofiness about him. James loved to spend time with his daughter and grandchildren and the friends that were still left here on this Earth. Even though he had a tough shell, and wouldn't show his emotions very much, he loved his family so very much. He will be terribly missed.

He is survived by his loving children, Jessica Collins of North Fort Myers, Neil Simoga of Lehigh Acres, FL and Steven Johnson; the mother of his daughter, Lorraine Ross of North Fort Myers; as well as five grandchildren, Josiah, Azalea, Hailey, Cameron, and Tyler.
