James Wesley Harrison, 83, a resident of Cape Coral since 2014, formerly of Louisville, KY, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 in Cape Coral. He was born December 28, 1939 in Portsmouth, OH to Luther and Opal Harrison, now deceased.
James was of the Catholic faith. He proudly served 20 years in the United States Armed Forces as an LPN with a 1-year tour in Vietnam and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant 1st Class, Rank E7.
He is survived by his five loving children, Rebecca Eubanks of Cape Coral, Douglas Harrison (Denise) of Louisville, KY, Steven Harrison of Louisville, KY, Christopher Harrison of Louisville, KY and Melissa Clark (Carl) of Batavia, OH; as well as seven grandchildren, Meghan, Harrison, Allissa, Chase, Jonathan, Stephen and Caden.
James was preceded in death by two siblings, Barbara Fox (Ross) and Sula Robertson (Delbert “Robby”).
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on May 28, 2023, at McIntosh/ Harrison family cemetery in Estill County, Irvine, Kentucky 40336 with military honors presented. Directions to the cemetery below:
From Winchester Rd: Turn right or left (depending on which direction you are coming from) on Dry Branch Rd, Turn Left on Camp Burnamwood Rd, Turn Left on Sugarloaf Lane, Sugarloaf Lane should lead to the end where the cemetery is located.
