James Bernard Heck, a North Fort Myers resident, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 in Cape Coral at the age of 85. He was born on May 23, 1929 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa, the youngest of 5 children to Mary and John N Heck. His was a United States Navy Veteran with 26 years of service and retired as a Chief Petty Officer with a ranking of E8. He later retired as a Yellow Freight truck driver after 18 years.
His passion in life was golfing and would be seen on the golf course whenever possible. Mr. Heck is survived by his three children: James J. Heck of Aiken, South Carolina; Michael P. Heck and his wife Kathy Heck of Burlington, Ma. and Karen A. Sharon, his only daughter, and her husband Edward Sharon of Whitman, Ma. He is also survived by his 10 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grand Children.
