James Paul Higham, 57, unexpectedly passed away December 3, 2023, at his residence in Cape Coral, Florida.
James was born March 3, 1966, in Youngstown, Ohio to James Higham and Sally Higham.
James enjoyed playing music, working out, and he was also proud of being a father.
He had a long battle with mental health problems and addiction. Although it never stopped him from being a positive and kind person.
James graduated from Chaney High School in 1984 and preceded to join the U.S army. James moved to Japan where he had his first two children and pursued his music career where he was in a band called Drastic.
James worked various places but mostly enjoyed the time he spent participating in Praise and Worship at different local churches.
James leaves behind his wife Jennifer DiGiacomo, his daughter Alisa Higham, his stepchildren Austin Grimm, Jacob Grimm (Riley), his mother Sally Higham, and his siblings Cyndi Foust (Ken), Paula Dempsey (Bob), and Joey Higham (Billy).
He is preceded in death by his father James Higham Sr., his children David, Christopher, and Jimmy, and his stepchild Preston Grimm.
In honor of James’ love of music, there will be a celebration of life on Sunday, January 14, 2024, 5:00pm at Westside Bowl. All are welcome to come.
The family is asking in lieu of flowers, donations may be made at Westside Bowl.
