James Paterson Wilson, III

James Paterson Wilson, III, 68, a resident of Lee County, FL for the past 40 years, formerly of Sewickley, PA, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born April 25, 1951 in Sewickley, PA to James and Margaret Wilson, Jr., now deceased.

James was a member of the United States Airforce National Guard and was of the Presbyterian faith. He was an Eagle Scout and a small arms instructor in Air National Guard. James, also known as Cowboy, loved hanging with family and friends. He also enjoyed building boats and loved to grill outdoors, no matter the weather. He never knew anyone who wasn’t a friend.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Elizabeth Wilson of North Fort Myers, FL; three children, Jessica Graves (Todd) of PA, Justin Wilson of Cape Coral, FL, and John Fancher of North Fort Myers; sister, Sandra Wilson of Sewickley, PA; grandchildren, Farron, Eion, and Meghan; as well as a great grandchild, Peyton.
