James Joseph Sherman, 58, of Norfolk, VA, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020, in Cape Coral, FL. He was born January 9, 1962 in Brain Bridge, Maryland to Arthur Sherman and Toshi Kobayashi.
James was of the Christian faith. He was an avid fisherman, and retired drafter. After retirement, He, along with his friend Jeffrey VanSlyke ran a scrapping business. When not working, fishing or camping, he loved to shoot pool with his good friend Bernard Serna.
James is survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginger” Cartwright, of Norfolk, VA.; brother, Steve Sherman and wife, Lisa of FL; his niece and nephew, Rebecca and Joshua; his great nephew, Alexander; his friend William; as well as his beloved dog Nadia.
A Celebration of Life will be held for James at a later date in Norfolk, VA.
