Jennifer Lee Bates

Jennifer Lee Bates, 40, a resident of Fort Myers since 2022, formerly of Hemingford, NE, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 in Fort Myers. She was born September 18, 1983 in Scotts Buff, NE.

Jennifer was a wonderful wife, and mother. She loved deeply and always stepped up to make any sacrifice for those she loved. She was a kind hearted soul that loved animals and tried to take care of any that needed help. She graduated from Chadron High School in 2002. It was rare to see her without a smile on her face, and that is how she will always be remembered by those blessed to have her in their lives.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years, Brandon Michael Bates of Fort Myers; loving mother, Dee Walker of Scotts Bluff, NE; four loving children, Mia Bates of Hemingford, Layla Bates of Fort Myers, Lillyann Bates of Fort Myers, and Emma Bates of Fort Myers; sisters, Danell Bishop and Amanda Keith, both of NE; as well as Molly and Mya, the cats.
