Jeremy Brian Gladding

Jeremy Brian Gladding, 42, a resident of Bokeelia, FL since 2008, formerly of Portland, MI, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025. He was born March 11, 1982 in Lansing, MI.

Jeremy was of the Christian faith. He was a friend to everyone he met; always having a kind word or joke for those around him. He loved to make people happy, leaving them with a smile on their face and joy in their heart.  He was a selfless and kind person who will be greatly missed by all.

Jeremy enjoyed spending time in his garden, collecting antique trinkets from yard sales or thrift stores, and, as his friends teased him about, detailing his truck and work van.  He was very mechanical and loved the challenge of figuring out how and why things worked.  He always needed to be learning something new and had many professions such as diesel mechanic, marine forklift operator, and currently being part of an incredible construction team from Pine Island, FL.  He totally enjoyed them all.

Jeremy graduated from Portland High School with two years of technical diesel training from Ionia County Career Center (Heartlands).  He then attended the Diesel Technology program at University of Northwest Ohio in Lima Ohio.

Jeremy loved the Lord, his family and his friends with all his heart.

He is survived by his loving parents, Kenneth and Carolin Gladding of Cape Coral; maternal grandmother, Florence Kerbyson of Cape Coral; paternal grandfather, Wayne Gladding of Portland, MI; brother, Stephen Gladding (Toni) of Punta Gorda, FL; niece, Emma; girlfriend, Marsha Vaughn of Bokeelia, FL, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Private services are being held.
