Jerry Rodger Moore

Jerry Rodger Moore, 84, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since 1971, formerly of Lakeland, FL, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024. He was born November 29, 1939 in Springfield, OH to Charles and Betty Moore, now deceased.

Jerry was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Fort Myers Rotary East Club. He owned several businesses for over 25 years. His most unique business was Smokehouse BBQ Sauce. He later opened Magic Carpets by Jerry in two locations. After selling the carpet store, he opened Anytime Travel. He finally retired for good in 1999.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Linda (Crowder) Moore of Fort Myers; three loving children, Patti Adams (Ken), Duane “Scott” Moore, and Steven Lee Moore (Judy); siblings, Pam Gilliard and Beverly Hall; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 5, 2024 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916.
