Joe Floyd Holder

Joe Floyd Holder, 79, a Cape Coral, Florida resident since 2003, formerly of Marion, IL passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 in Ft. Myers. He was born March 6, 1936 in Dyersburg, TN to Hiram and Fannie Holder, now deceased.
Joe was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired coal miner and well known musician for years in southern Illinois. He enjoyed boating and fishing. Joe was a proud husband, father, and grandfather as well as a good friend to many.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Ruth Holder of Cape Coral; four children, Joe Holder, Jr. of Ava, IL, Ronnie Holder (Cathy) of Zeigler, IL, Richard Beckett of Centralia, IL and Joe Holder, III (Bridget) of Cape Coral, FL; two sisters, Ruby Postada of Marion, IL and Shirley Rowe of Centralia, IL; ten grandchildren, Philena, Michelle, Danielle, David, Christopher, Ronnie Jr., Brandy, Chelsea, Brian, and Kelsey. Fifteen great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters and a grandson, Chris Holder.
Memorial services will be held in Illinois at a later date to be announced.
