Jose "Joe" Suarez, Jr.

Jose Suarez, Jr., 70, a Lee County resident for the past 28 years, formerly of Tampa, FL, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 in Ft. Myers. He was born on July 1, 1944 in Tampa, FL to Jose and Josephine Suarez, Sr., now deceased.

Jose, known to many as Joe, was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Ft. Myers. He fell in love with Sanibel/Captiva and was fortunate to live and work in his "earthly paradise" for 13 years.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Gilda Suarez, of Ft. Myers; three loving children, Joe Suarez (Rita) of Atlanta, GA, Ken Suarez (LeAne) of Ft. Myers, FL, and Christian Suarez (Sarah) of Boca Raton, FL; a sister, Alice Martinez (Cesar) of Tampa, FL; eleven grandchildren, Jeri, Ashley, Miranda, Kalli, Elisha, Austin, Alec, Max, Nicolas, Steven, and Tyler; five great grandchildren, Emma, Hunter, Avrie, Rett, and Axel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in memory of Jose Suarez, Jr. are suggested to Golisano Children's Hospital, 9981 S. Healthpark Dr., Ft. Myers, FL 33908.
