Josephine Louise Haggett, 80, a two year resident of Cape Coral, FL; formerly of Wood Ridge, NJ passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in Ft. Myers, FL. She was born November 4, 1935 in Wood Ridge, NJ to Frank and Mary Algozzini, now deceased. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William L. Haggett. Josephine attended St. Andrew Catholic Church in Cape Coral, and was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Wood Ridge, NJ. Josephine and her husband, William, owned and operated a Bryers Ice Cream store in Carlstadt, NJ. Later, she was a bookkeeper for Air Associates, Winchek, Inc., and AirWick Industries, Inc., as well as a domestic cook for the Friars of Our Lady of the Assumption Rectory. Very active in her community, she was the past President of the following organizations: The Ladies Auxiliary of the Wood Ridge Fire Department, Assumption Rosary Society, and the Wood Ridge Contemporary Club. She is survived by four loving children, Deborah Haggett (Edwin Wurzburg) of Cape Coral, William Haggett (Destiny) of Cape Coral, Mary Haggett of Colonia, NJ, and Barbara Case (Gerald) of Cresco, PA; and a sister, Frances Gorbacz, of Pocono Lake, PA; as well as seven grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, FL 33904 with Fr. Jay Raju officiating. Memorial Contributions in memory of Josephine Louise Haggett are suggested to Childrens Oncology Group; Breast Cancer Research Foundation; or the Rosary Society of Assumption Church, Wood Ridge, NJ. Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.
