Juanita Louise Metheny

Juanita Louise Metheny, 83, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL for the past 38 years, formerly of Hyattsville, MD, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 in Fort Myers, FL. She was born August 30, 1938 in Wheeling, WVA to Ernest and Elnora Hardin, now deceased.

Juanita was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Northside Baptist Church in North Fort Myers. She was our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother we will forever love her.   Juanita worked for the federal government (NSA) for 25 years then upon relocation to North Fort Myers worked for the State of Florida DOT.  She attended Church at Northside Baptist Church where she volunteered in the nursery. 

She is survived by her beloved husband of over 44 years, Randy Metheny of North Fort Myers; loving children, Steven Harold, Sr. (Angela) of LaBelle, FL, Veronica Nickerson (Phillip) of  North Fort Myers, Richard Metheny (Heidi); eight grandchildren Tonya Nickerson, Lisa Heizmann (Chris), James Nickerson (Amber), Steven Harold Jr, John Harold (Falon) Rachel Quinones (Juan), Rachel Stiles (Sean), Zachary Metheny; as well as eight great grandchildren Hailey Heizmann, Cole Heizmann, Harper Heizmann, Liam Heizmann, Christina Quinones, Emma Quinones, Vanessa Alfonso, Maddie Harold.

Juanita was preceded in death by her siblings, Donna Hardin Fowle and Ernest Hardin Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Northside Baptist Church Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 am.  Northside Baptist Church, 8250 Littleton Road, N. Ft. Myers, FL 33903.
