Julia Sikorskyj

February 20, 1927 - April 9, 2019

Julia (Strodomski) Sikorskyj, 92, slipped away peacefully in her sleep on April 9, 2019. After immigrating with her family from Germany in 1957, Julia resided in New York, Jersey City, NJ, Hazlet, NJ and, for the last 11 years, in Cape Coral, FL. Julia was born February 20, 1927 to Joseph and Kasimira Strodomski in Milschowenen, Lithuania.

She leaves behind two loving daughters, Nina (Charles) Forsdahl of Cape Coral, FL and Irene (Kenneth) Kreutzer also of Cape Coral, FL; two daughters-in-law, Jewel Sikorskyj of Jersey City, NJ and Lesia Sikorskyj of Union, NJ; a sister, Lieselotte Kulczycki of East Brunswick, NJ; six grandchildren: Stephen (Tetiana) Sikorskyj, Stephanie (Peter) Gallo, Kenneth Kreutzer, Jennifer Earp, Charles Forsdahl, Jr. and Lance (Lori) Kreutzer as well as eight great-grandchildren.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Strodomski and Kasimira Conrad, her husband, Very Reverend Jurij (aka George) Sikorskyj, her sons, Fedir (aka Ted) Sikorskyj and Wasyl (aka William) Sikorskyj and her brother, Edward Strodomski.

Julia worked for many years as a seamstress for Majestic Sportswear and Ansonia Knitwear prior to working in New York as an office building cleaning woman until her retirement in 1992.

Julia loved her family unconditionally and was generous to a fault. She enjoyed cross-stitching, shopping with her daughters and frequenting flea markets.

A future service will be held in St. Andrews Memorial Church and Cemetery in S. Bound Brook, NJ.
