June Louise Francoeur, 65, a Cape Coral, FL resident for the past six years, formerly of Cheshire, MA passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Ft. Myers, FL after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 12, 1950 in Pittsfield, MA to Russell and Rita Harvey, both deceased.
June graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1968 and attended Berkshire Community College. She was a licensed realtor and later held positions at the Visiting Nurse Association and Neighborhood Health Center. Before retiring in 2010, she worked for Berkshire Health Systems in billing and coding and also taught a class in the same field at BCC.
She was devoted to her family and friends. She loved her home in Florida and especially her timeshare in Aruba where she enjoyed lounging on the beach, horseback riding, and the many slot machines. She was also an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Richard J. Francoeur of Cape Coral whom she married on April 29, 1979; two loving children, Jason Francoeur and his wife, Mandy of Cherry Hill, NJ and Amanda Francoeur of N. Adams, MA; sisters, Gloria Foley and Helen Simpson and her husband, Bob; great aunt, Annabelle Simpson; nephew, Raymond Foley; grandsons, Caleb and Ethan Francoeur; as well as her dogs, Peanut and Sprout.
