Justin William Maldonado, 44, (a Cape Coral, FL resident for the past eight years, and formerly of Jefferson Township and Montclair, NJ) passed away Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, in Fort Myers, FL. He was born October 3rd, 1979, in Denville, NJ.
Justin was a free spirit and chose not to follow any organized religion. Although he was not a Buddhist, his beliefs aligned more with the Buddhist faith. There was also a heavy emphasis on Nordic Mythology. His message to friends who had passed was always, “Meet you at the gates of the Hall of Valhalla”.
Justin endured some rough patches during his abbreviated life and was just at the door of his new beginning. He would have flown to Missouri on July 10th for the final stage (boot camp) of his training in Wind Turbine and Tower Technology. Justin would have graduated as the top student in the class. He was extremely proud (as was I) of his perseverance, dedication, and accomplishments towards his goal.
He is survived by his loving mother, Cathy Williamson; stepfather, Ricardo Algarra; son, William Travis Bartell; as well as his siblings: Heather Maldonado, Tiffany Maldonado, Ryan Maldonado, and half-sibling, Cathy Maldonado.
Justin was preceded in death by his cousin, Hunter Tracey Hughes (19); and father, Israel Maldonado.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33916. The family will be receiving friends for a Time of Visitation from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
