Karen Marie Hartlieb, 58, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL since 1983, formerly of Rockford, MI, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born September 3, 1961 in Rockford, IL.
Karen was a member of Diplomat Wesleyan Church in Cape Coral and religion was very important to her. Her faith was a major part of how she lived her life and how she got through the most difficult times in her life. Karen was loving, generous and always had a positive outlook. This made her an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and coworker. Anyone who knew her had only the nicest things to say about her. Christmas was her favorite time of the year and always had the Carpenter’s Christmas CD playing this time of year. She loved reading, singing, sleeping, and travelling among many other things. She made the best plans for vacations to make sure everyone had the best time. She loved to camp and spend time in nature admiring God’s creation and took some breathtaking pictures. Flowers and sunsets were her favorites to capture on film.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Brian Hartlieb of North Fort Myers; loving parents, Donald and Sue Piirainen of Cape Coral; two loving children, Amanda Brennan (Sean) of Deltona, FL and Jennifer Hartlieb of Fort Myers, FL; two sisters, Lynn McEwen of Fort Myers and Kathleen Butler (Raymond) of Cape Coral; nieces, Brittany McEwen of Miami, FL, and Quinn Randall of Lynchburg, VA, and nephews, Connor Black of Tampa, FL, and Adam Black of Orlando, FL; mother in law, Sylvia Ellerman of Gainesville, FL; as well as Bandit, the dog.
