Karen Gertrude Kortier, 79, a resident of North Fort Myers since 2013, formerly of Dandridge, TN, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in North Fort Myers. She was born April 30, 1945 in Mt. Clemens, MI to Joseph and Virginia Chancey, now deceased.
Karen was of the Episcopalian faith. Her biggest accomplishments were her two boys. She was hard working and dedicated. She had an infectious laugh and a heart of gold, always ready to lend a hand or share a story. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and unforgettable memories. Her presence in our lives was a gift. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 4 years, Harvey Shultz; two loving children, Patrick Joseph Kortier of Westlake, MI, and Thomas Anthony Kortier (Morgan) of Harrison, MI; siblings, twin sister, Sharon Holder (Donald) of Cape Coral, Linda Carrow of Vermontville, NY, Ron Tobianski of Chesterfield Township, MI; and Claude Webb (Sandy) of Rochester, MN, grandchildren, Kerstyn, Mackenzie, Jake, and Kyle; as well as three great grandchildren, Maylen, Maren, Kennedy, stepchildren Cammie, Darrick (Tina) grandchildren Hannah, Deshaun, Abigail, Alex, great grandchildren Kaveri, Dakston, Royce, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
