Karyn Kay Price, 50, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2021, formerly of St. Charles, MO, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born March 22, 1974 in St. Louis, MO to Theo Homeyer, now deceased.
She is survived by her loving husband, Darris Price; her son, Alexander Price of Cape Coral, FL; sister, Laura Gentilcore (Scott) of Somers, CT; as well as her nephew, Shawn Gentilcore.
Karyn Price received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Missouri–St. Louis and earned her Masters at National Louis University. She taught for 25 years in the City of St. Charles and for the Hazelwood School District. After moving to Florida, she became the Curriculum Coordinator for Faith Academy. Karyn was a friend to all she met, who always encouraged others to see the bright side of life. She was a gifted chef and created many loving meals for her family and friends. Karyn enjoyed spending countless hours at the beach and taking vacations with her family. She was an avid Blues Hockey fan, who was always willing to make a road trip to watch the boys play. She had an eclectic taste in music and enjoyed watching various bands perform. She was always up for a great time on a moment's notice, and what it was didn’t matter. Karyn was of the Lutheran faith. She will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Messiah St. Charles Church, 5911 Highway 94, Weldon Springs, Missouri 63304. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Light refreshments will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Karyn are suggested to Alexander Price’s college fund. Please make checks payable to Edward Jones located at 711 N New Ballas Rd, Creve Coeur, MO 63141. In the memo line, write Alexander Price. Thank you for your consideration.
