Katherine Ellen Carrube, 67, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 8 years, formerly of Coney Island, NY, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 in Cape Coral. She was born September 4, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY to William and Mary Grant, now deceased.
Katherine was of the Catholic faith. She was proud of her Native American Heritage. She is a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Chippewa Tribe of Michigan. She was a medical assistant and a certified massage therapist who took pride in helping others. To know her was to love her. She will be sorely missed, leaving a permanent imprint on our hearts.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Angelo Salvatore Carrube of Coney Island, NY; three loving children, Jeanne Marie Carrube (Patane) of Hillside, NJ, Michael Angelo Carrube (Regina) of Hillside, NJ, and Richard Anthony Carrube (Ewa) of Hillside, NJ; siblings, Patricia Grant, William Grant and Robert Grant of Coney Island, NY; ten grandchildren, Alexandria “Allie”, Sydney “Syd”, Jordan “Jordy”, Jackson “Jax”, J.C., Carmen, Emilyann “Em”, Angelo, Tristan, and Jayden; as well as three great grandchildren, Jocelyn “Jojo”, Avi “The Boss”, and Abel. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and Gail Carrube “sister”; as well as many close friends.
Katherine was preceded in death by a brother, James “Jimmy” Grant; as well as her great grandchild, Xzyleah.
Funeral Services will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Mullins Memorial, 1056 NE 7th Terr., Cape Coral, FL 33909 with Deacon Edison Gibbons officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM following the service.
