Kathleen Ann Long

Kathleen Ann Long, 90, a resident of Cape Coral, formerly of Parker, CO and Aurora, CO, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024 surrounded by her family in Fort Myers, FL. She was born May 1, 1934 to Charles and Leota Ridge, now deceased.

Kathleen was of the Christian faith. She was a Domestic Genius raising her children and then took on her grandchildren with the soft touch of loving hands and an open heart.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Johnson of Utah.

Kathleen was preceded in death by the love of her life John G. Long in 2012, they were married for over 56 years and together had seven loving children, Donald Long (Lanita) of Biloxi, MS, John A. Long (Gwen) of Aurora, CO, Ray Mottz (Rita) of Paris, MS, Glynna Hamlin (Skip) of High Ridge, MO, James Long (Cyndi) of Winter Garden, FL, Lori Jacobson (Jim) of Cape Coral FL, and Kristi Scott (Phil) of Parker, CO; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her brother, Eddy Ridge and twin brother, Gene Ridge.

Services will be held in Colorado at a later date and time to be determined.

No services will be held in Florida.
