Kenneth James Ellefson

Kenneth James Ellefson, 53, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL for 20 years, passed away on October 19, 2024. He was born on May 11, 1971 in Rochester, MN where he was raised, before moving to Florida to escape the tundra.

Ken learned to swing a hammer at a young age, before leaving Mayo High School and starting his own business. He had multiple successful ventures, including All Seasons Siding and Windows in Rochester, MN and Ken Ellefson Soffit and Fascia in Fort Myers, FL. He took pride in his career and was well-known for his high-quality finishing work.

He had a love for anything fast and powerful, from motorcycles to boats to muscle cars. But stock car racing was a lifelong passion of his. He raced all over the Midwest and Southeast. One of his favorite racing memories was getting to race on dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway where he finished sixth out of 150. He also loved traveling, joining his friends for adventures to Bolivia, Costa Rica, the Philippines, and all over the United States.

He came from a family of five kids and loved his parents dearly. He took the lead with the final care of his father, Donald, before his passing in 2021. His two boys were his pride and joy. He traveled all over the country watching Jesse play baseball and joining Tyler on motorcycle trips. He also loved being a grandpa to his step-grandchildren and spoiled them as often as he could.

He is survived by his two sons, Jesse Ellefson and Tyler Ellefson, as well as three sisters, Jean Weber, Barb Allen, and Mary Hardecopf, and one brother, Ronald Ellefson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jacqueline (Sullivan) Ellefson and Donald Ellefson.

A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on November 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Mullins Memorial Funeral Home at the Fort Myers location.
