Kirk Eugene Gardner

Kirk Eugene Gardner, 57, of Cape Coral, a resident of Lee County, FL since 2020, formerly of Alliance, OH, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024 in Cape Coral, FL after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Laguna Beach, CA to Gerald E and Linda L (Gearing) Gardner, now deceased.

Kirk was a truck driver for Priority Freight Systems and YRC (Yellow-Roadway-Consolidated) for 30+ years until he retired. In his retirement, he drove for Uber and was known as Captain Kirk. He loved riding his Harley on the days he wasn’t driving professionally.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lora A Gardner; sister, Katherine K Nelson (Thomas) of Los Angeles, CA; brother, Ronald A Kerlee (Rolanda) of Marianna, FL; uncle, David Gardner (Stephanie) of Cape Coral, FL; aunt, Lois Parry of Cape Coral, FL; as well as half brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
