Kiya, the heart and soul, light of her family, was the happiest soul here on earth, the most selfless and caring person that did not ask for anything for herself, a joy to be around and loved by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her and her pure unconditional love, her father said,” To know Kiya, is to love Kiya”. You would always see a smile on her face no matter what was going on around her. Kiya loved to be surrounded by her mom, dad, brothers, cousins and all her family and friends. In Kiya’s “When I grow up” book, she inspired to be a teacher, specifically a 2nd grade teacher. She wrote that she liked to teach her younger brother Kane about math and reading, that this would make her like teaching. Kiya continued this inspiration to teach when her twin brothers came into her life at 15 years old. Kiya would spend her days showing those loved ones around her how much love she had for them, whether it was singing with her “Jessicup” on musicly, taking pictures of each other being silly or adding filters on snapchat, and having mini photoshoots with her brothers and cousins. At a very young age, Kiya became a Steelers fan just like her father, as a family they watched every game and would love to throw those terrible towels! If the Steelers were playing, everyone knew that was around them. Kiya would snuggle up on the couch with her favorite book and movie series Harry Potter. We all will remember her contagious laugh, when she started her deep belly laugh and hand clapping you couldn’t help but to laugh right along with her.
Kiya was her daddy’s “Princess” from the moment she came into their lives, she opened up a love inside of him that he didn’t know existed that only a dad can have for a daughter. Jason and Kiya both shared a love for drawing and watching “The Walking Dead”.
Kiya loved to spend time with her mom, she was her sidekick. Dana and Kiya enjoyed cooking together, shopping and getting their nails done. Kiya inherited her love of music from Dana, they both have an eclectic taste for all genres, their favorite is Machine Gun Kelley, they always had a blast jamming out to him in the car wherever they were going.
Kiya enjoyed babysitting for her cousin Morgan, she always had photoshoot with many silly filters and faces with Braxton and Sawyer.
Kiya or known to her little twin brothers as “La La”, shared her love for arts and crafts (but absolutely no glitter!) and making funny videos with Khol and Kash. You could always find them in a new picture online or on snapchat having a blast with their La La. She was their world, always laughing and having fun together.
