Leonard William Anderson Jr. passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, in Cape Coral, Florida, at the age of 68.
Born on June 15, 1956, in Pepper Pike, Ohio, Leonard graduated from Orange High School in Pepper Pike in 1974. He later earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University in 1978.
A proud Buckeye, Leonard was a lifelong sports enthusiast who cheered passionately for his beloved Ohio football teams — the Buckeyes and the Browns. Leonard was also an avid chess player, where he proudly defeated a ranked chess master.
He found great joy in the outdoors, especially fishing, swimming in his pool, and water skiing. He cherished time spent at Lake Panache in Canada, where he created countless memories with family and friends.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Debra Anderson of Cape Coral, Florida; his daughters, Natalie Chenoweth (Taylor) and Julie Anderson; and his cherished grandchildren, Leland, Bennett, and Ella. He is also survived by his sisters Joanne Orichella (Joseph) and Michelle Wagner (Lou, deceased), and by his many nieces and nephews and close family friends including life long best friends Doug and Eileen Hostitler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Anderson Sr. and Josephine (Bonach) Anderson; his sister, Patricia Anderson; and his nephew, Lou Wagner Jr.
Leonard will be remembered for the simple joys of life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
