Lois Jean Ross, 92, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2020, formerly of Bloomingdale, OH, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 in Cape Coral. She was born July 5, 1930 in Dillonvale, OH to Reuben and Florence Hufnagel, now deceased.
Lois was formerly an active member of Winterville United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and served on various committees and circles. She began work at Singer Sewing Machine which complimented her skill as a seamstress. Later, after raising her children, she sold pianos and organs for Delelles Music Studio in Wintersville. From 1985-2015, she was a Realtor in the Steubenville area and received Realtor of the Year award from the Steubenville Board of Realtors early in her career. Her passion was playing the piano and singing.
She is survived by her loving son, Kenneth Ross (Diana) of North Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Darren and Kenny; as well as great grandchildren, Rylan, Victoria, Liam, and Alexandria.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, James Bernard “Barney” Ross; a daughter, Lisa Ann Ross (Patti), a brother, Ronald Hufnagel (Margie), a sister, Carol Patterson (Bob), and a grandchild, Mark.
A celebration of life will be held later in the spring in Wintersville, OH.
