Lorraine (Lola) Lynn Fischer

Lorraine (Lola) Lynn Fischer, 65, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past five years, formerly of Jarrell, TX, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024, in Cape Coral. She was born February 19, 1959, in Stuttgart Germany to Phillip (2011) and Eleanor Ferren, (2018) now deceased.

Lorraine was of the Baptist faith. A cancer warrior!! A nurturing, caring, loving mother and grandmother. She spent most of her life in Central Texas. Marrying her devoted husband, Bill, in 1998. The couple remained in Texas until retirement. They then set out on a 4-month long RV adventure throughout the United States and Canada. As an avid traveler, together, they saw 45 of the states and many Caribbean Islands. She then set out to make Cape Coral her new home. Even surviving hurricane Ian. Touring family and friends around the canals and proudly displaying the Burrowing Owls in her yard and neighborhood.

She REALLY enjoyed playing bingo wherever she could find a bingo hall and was a winner often. Celebrating any and every occasion in Las Vegas, 21st birthdays, anniversaries, weddings,” any excuse will do”. She loved playing bunko with her friends in Texas and Cape Coral. She was an avid lover of music and live concerts. She was well known for her big bright beautiful smile, quick wit, and her kind and compassionate spirit. A party or family get-together never started until Lola walked into the room.

She is survived by her loving husband, William Fischer of Cape Coral; devoted daughter, Audrea Hiatt of Pflugerville, TX; as well as 3 precious grandchildren, Auggie, Madilyn and Adrianna. Sister, Glenda Zimmerman (Dewayne) of Des Moines, IA; Brother, Billy Ferren (Veronica) of Austin, TX; two nieces, Valerie, and Vicki; four nephews, Billy, Jr., Calvin, David, and Brian.

Lorraine was preceded in death by brother, Charles Ferren (2004).

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 20^th, 2024 at Cape Coral VFW Post 8463, 4709 SE 11th Place, Cape Coral, FL 33904.
