Louis Placa, III, 53, passed away on June 21, 2022 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born July 22, 1968 in Bronx, NY to Louis Placa Jr. and Angela Rivera who are now deceased.
Louis was a man of many talents and abilities. You name it, he knew how to do it. He was an extremely hard worker! He also enjoyed many hobbies. Whenever he wasn't building or fixing something, you would find him fishing anywhere he could cast a line. Something not well-known to many is that he was a skillful artist. If you were to look in his private journals, you would find a variety of freehand sketches, whether being of his favorite cartoon characters or whatever else popped into his mind. He was a sports enthusiast and loved to collect baseball caps of his favorite teams such as the NY Yankees and the Eagles. He also was an avid music-lover. Those who knew him, know that often-times, you could hear him coming in his truck from a mile away. He will be remembered as a spontaneous, loving, and generous family-man who greatly cherished his relationship with his God, Jehovah and strived to live by His standards throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Aryselis Elizabeth Gonzalez, and son-in-law, Jonathan Gonzalez of Jacksonville, FL; his sisters, Janette and Sandra Rivera of Cape Coral, FL; his aunts, Maria Ortiz of Bronx, NY and Margie Hernandez of Cape Coral, FL; his uncles, David Hernandez and Jose Ortiz Jr. of Bronx, NY; along with several nieces and nephews whom he adored.
He was predeceased by his twin sister and best friend, Rachel Placa.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33916.
