Luella Rose Bredhold

Luella Bredhold, 95, of Cape Coral, FL passed away Friday, February 16, 2024. Luella was born on July 29, 1928 in Jasper, IN. She was the second child of Jacob and Coletta Lechner.

After graduating from Jasper High School in 1946, she attended Lockyear College in Evansville, IN. She married Clarence Bredhold on October 22, 1949 at St. Joseph Church in Jasper, IN. They enjoyed sixty-five years together.

They lived and worked in Evansville, IN. After thirty-eight years, she retired as an executive secretary at Whirlpool. In 1989, they retired to Pine Island, FL where they were active in church and several service and civic clubs. Luella and Clarence were world travelers visiting sixty-five different countries. She wrote two books about their global adventures.

Luella was the last surviving family member of her generation but had twenty-six nieces and nephews.

Her ashes will be buried with her husband’s ashes in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, IN.
